TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME, GREETING:
KNOW YE, That, reposing special trust and confidence in the intelligence, diligence and discretion
of________Orville F. Barcus________, I have nominated, and, by and with the advice
and consent of the Senate, do
appoint him Postmaster at_____Sunbury____, in the County of________Delaware_________
State of_______Ohio_______; and do authorize and empower him to execute and fulfill the duties of
that office according to the laws of the United States and the regulations of the Post Office
Department,
and to have and to hold the said office with all the rights and emoluments thereunto legally
appertaining,
for and during the term of four years from the_____sixth____day of____December___1918,
subject to the conditions prescribed by law:
{Seal} In testimony whereof I have caused these letters to be made patent
and the seal of the Post Office Department
of the United States to be hereunto affixed.
Given under my hand in the District of Columbia this thirtieth day of December in
