This man has been identified as Charles Edward Kempton (1894-1963) by his niece, Kitty. She dated the picture 15 April 1911 and stated that he "learned his oration on this stump" to get into Baptist Ministry. Harry O. Kempton (1869-1957) is his father and is believed to have taken Charles' photograph.
