Description

Thurs. Nov, 26-1926-being

Thanksgiving Day-we

took car to the French Markets,

having heard and read about

them all our lives.

They may have been worth

talking about in their earlier

days but we found them

dirty and ill smelling and

strictly second class-

After the markets we visited

the wharves and saw the wonderful

signs of shipping goods into

and out of New Orleans-

the Crescent City.

We left the old city at

noon on Thanksgiving Day

for So. Calif - via the great

Southern Pae. R.R.

My visit to New Orleans

was too short and our sightseeing

too hurried- I'd like to go

there again and remain longer.
