Description

This photo was taken

sometime in February

1930. by Wm V. Knox -

who with his wife Ivah

Wilson-Knox spent several

weeks in Los Angeles and

vicinity in Jan. and Feb.

We motored together

a great deal, - sometimes

in the Knox car, more often

in mine - and always

I was the guide.

The residence was built

by the late Gene Stratton -

Porter - the novelist. After

her death it became the home

of her daughter Mrs Meehan

Ivah Knox and Daisy Wheaton

(myself) in the foreground -

It is all hillsides and mansions

in fashionable "Bel Air" - near

Beverly Hills - Calif.
